One of my top three favorites. Loved the adventure, and the culture and how it would make a great discussion piece in light of today's ongoing war with Iraq. And Sharon Shinn is one of my favorite authors and this was just an absolutely spectacular read!

I didn't care much for this book. While I can see the discussion appeal, the characters remained somewhat flat to me and the first 3/4 of the story was fairly predictable.

I liked the book I thought it was timely, but please please please take the final half of the final sentence out of the description because it totally ruined the surprise for me!!

This is a timely book, and the twist at the end came as a surprise. But it isn't one of the top 5 for me.
