Peak by Roland Smith
On a high-altitude adventure, teenager Peak Marcello attempts to become the youngest person to make it to the top of Mount Everest under his father's guidance. As he makes the journey, he learns a lot about himself and his estranged father.
I'm steadily making my way through the top 20...I liked this title but it wasn't my favorite. I'll be honest. It took me awhile to get into it--I picked up a couple other titles in the meantime. I think it does have a lot of boy appeal.
This was one of my early favorites, and my copy was checked out for months so I finally bought 2 more. This is a great boys book. Some of the plot points, like the sherpas and his little twin sisters, take it beyond ordinary action/adventure.

This is a very fun title, but probably not one of the best.
Not sure where in the top 20 this one falls for me. Great boy book!
