Red Glass by Laura Resau
When her family decides to adopt Pablo, an orphaned Mexican immigrant, Sophie embarks on a journey to Oaxaca to meet Pablo's extended family and get the adoption papers signed. The journey turns into one of self discovery as Sophie faces her lifelong anxieties and falls in love with Angel, a refugee from the Guatemalan Civil War.

This story really grew on me. I think it has a good message about overcoming fear.
This was one of my favorites. I think I like it because the love everyone has for one another is almost palpable. Good story, too.
This is a gem of a book. Imperfect, but it really does glow with warmth and beauty.
This story was beautifully written and it did grow on me as I read. It is a quiet little story about love overcoming fear.
