When Capricorn Anderson's hippy grandmother lands in the hospital, he is forced to temporarily relocate from their commune to a foster home and to attend the public school. He doesn't have a clue about popular culture, which in turns makes him a perfect target and an unlikely hero.

I listened to this one. I liked Cap's innocence and cluelessness that kept him from hurting too much in the face of the cruelty that is middle school. The ending was a total surprise. Maybe top 10 for me.
I loved this book, and I love book talking it, and I should really buy a second copy for the collection. It's always checked out. Its definitely in the top 5 for me.
I liked this book, too. It reminded me of Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli. It had a kind of mythical quality about it but that bubble was burst at the ending! So far, I'd say it's a top 5 for me.
This one is in my top picks of the top 20. It was great. Totally agree with Patty's comment.
I really like this book and read it with my teen discussion group. It was a popular choice with them, and think they all enjoyed Cap's innocence of all the bad things that were happening in middle school.
