Kissing the Bee by Kathe Koja
Avra is counting the days until the end of high school. That's when this undisputed "queen bee" will be leaving town with her boyfriend, Emil, and leaving her best friend Dana behind to deal with the fallout. Or so she thinks...
Kathe Koja has done a skillful job recording the last few months of high school seniors' lives and how things can really change at this time. This was a fast read, but very well written. I still think about the characters every once in a while, in a "I wonder how they're doing" kind of way.

I learned a lot about bees by reading this book and it was a quick read, but it's not my favorite.
I didn't expect to like this as much as I did and while I liked it and thought it was well written, it is not on my top five.
I enjoyed this book and can certainly recommend it to those girls who enjoy a love triangle. It is a lovely, well written book, but not in my top 5.
